Driver slams into back of stopped semi

GREENVILLE – A driver was injured after smashing into the back end of a semi tractor trailer on State Route 49 South Tuesday morning.

According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, the male driver of a maroon Ford Crown Victoria ran into the back of the semi that was stopped, waiting to turn southbound onto the  U.S. 127 ramp entrance off State Route 49 South. The Crown Victoria sustained heavy front end damage. The male driver was transported by Greenville Township Rescue to Wayne HealthCare with non-life threatening injuries. The female driver of the semi was not injured.
