FM Loses Meet – New School Record Set

LEWISBURG – Franklin Monroe (FM) High School Track and Field traveled to Lewisburg to compete against Tri-County North on May 7. FM left a few of its top track and field athletes at home to rest for upcoming meets, including the Cross County Conference meet. Tri-County North took top team honors for both boys and girls.

Nicole Berry, FM freshman, provided one of the highlights of the event by capturing the school record for girls’ shot put at FM. Her throw of 33’ 1.5” broke a 36-year old record. Coach Rick Ingold tweated after the match, “A big congrats goes out to Nicole Berry for her school record setting performance in the shot put tonight!”
