Golf outing helps The Journey Home

GREENVILLE – On July 26, the V.F.W. Post #7262 will host its annual golf outing at Turtle Creek Golf Course. This event will be open to the public with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. All proceeds from this event will go to the The Journey Home facility in Winchester, IN.

The Journey Home is a residential/transitional facility whose mission is “to make the impossible happen on a daily basis in the lives of homeless veterans with addiction problems.” This facility is open to veterans in Darke, Preble and Mercer counties in Ohio and a couple counties in Indiana.

Deadline for this event is July 21. The entry fee is $60 per golfer, which includes 18 holes and a cart. A meal will be served at the Greenville V.F.W. with a dance after the meal.  Higgins & Madewell will provide the entertainment. There are cash awards for first, second and third places as well as raffles and door prizes.

Entry forms can be picked up at the V.F.W. in the canteen. For more information, call 548-4004.
