DAYTON – The Greenville 4×800 meter boys track team set a new school record Thursday in regional competition at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. The boys finished in fifth place with the record setting time of 8:03.74.
“I couldn’t be more happy with their progress this season,” said coach Stephanie Lind. “They worked hard and came together as a team, always striving and pushing to do better.”
“They showed exceptional strength , mentally and physically, and ran a great race,” Lind concluded.
Greenville’s Aaron Balsbaugh and Anne Bradfield will each run Friday in hopes to qualify for state in the open 800 meter race. State competition is June 6-7 in Columbus.
