Investigation continues in rash of vehicle fires

GREENVILLE – An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Tuesday morning’s rash of vehicle thefts and fires in Greenville.

Joshua Willis of Greenville is currently jailed in Mercer County on one count of Theft. Authorities confirmed he is a suspect in the investigation and felony charges are likely to be filed with the Darke County Prosecutor’s Office against Willis. Investigators did not confirm if other arrests will be made, just stated that the investigation is ongoing.

Willis is believed to be involved with as many as eight vehicle fires and numerous thefts that began on the 600 block of Sweitzer around 4:30 a.m. and ended on the 700 block of Martin Street in Greenville Tuesday morning.
