Pre-fireworks crash injures two in Greenville

GREENVILLE – Two people were injured in a Greenville crash about an hour before the scheduled fireworks display Sunday night.

A male driver of a green Plymouth Neon pulled out from Eikenberry’s grocery store striking a woman southbound in a Hyundai Tucson on Sweitzer Street. The Neon then went across the centerline hitting a Pontiac Grand Am that was northbound on Sweitzer.

The male driver of the Neon and female driver of Hyundai were both transported to Wayne HealthCare with injuries. The occupants of the Pontiac were not injured.
