Sanders sent to prison for 3rd drug conviction

GREENVILLE – Timothy J. Sanders, 35, was sentenced to prison for drug dealing Monday morning int he Darke County Common Pleas Court.

The former Greenville resident pleaded guilty to two counts of Trafficking in Drugs (cocaine), felonies of the fourth degree, and also faced a violation of a previously order community control sanction. Judge Jonathan P. Hein immediately sentenced Sanders to a term of 11 months with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, running the current conviction concurrent with the probation violation.

Sanders was taken into custody by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office after Monday morning’s hearing to await transport to the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio. This is Sanders’ third drug-related felony conviction since 2010 in Darke County.
