DARKE COUNTY – Emergency crews responded to a chemical tanker marked to contain anhydrous amonia that was overturned on the 8000 block of Hogpath Road Wednesday afternoon.
According to Deputies on the scene small tank that was hauled by a pickup truck was empty and no injuries were reported. A chemical spill of anhydrous amonia caused a large evacuation in Sidney on Tuesday.
Fumes from the chemical could be toxic if breathed in. The roadway was closed for precautionary reasons for over an hour while crews worked to get the tanker upright.
