DCSO investigate aggravated robbery outside Greenville

DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred at 5740 Jaysville St. Johns Road, just west of Greenville Monday afternoon.

According to reports, the 63-year-old male property owner was discovered laying on the property with trauma injuries to his head. He was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital after medical personnel arrived on the scene.

Investigators believe the male victim, who runs a small engine repair shop on the property, was brutally assaulted some time around 5 p.m. At least one unidentified suspect fled the property after that attack. It has not yet been confirmed if anything was removed from the property by the suspect(s).
